What is your role at Channel Insurance Brokers, and how long have you been a part of the team?
Mario: I am a Commercial Account Executive and I have been with CIB Jersey since September 2022.
What areas of insurance expertise do you specialise in, and how do you use your knowledge to assist clients?
Mario: I can assist clients on property owners, tradesman’s, retail, catering, motor traders, fleet, hotel/guesthouse, offices, etc.
What aspect of your job do you find most fulfilling, and how does it impact the clients you serve?
Mario: Interacting with customers and listening to them try to accommodate/attend to their requirements. In short, trying to make their lives a little easier in the event of an inevitability.
What sets Channel Insurance Brokers apart from other insurance providers?
Mario: I would say personal attention to detail and willingness to listen to our customers.
What motivates you to come to work every day and deliver exceptional service to your clients?
Mario: Yet another opportunity to talk, smile and meet people.
In terms of the Portuguese community, I was bought up by a humble northern family who encouraged us in helping others, although, discreetly, as the focus should always be on the cause rather than on the individual, and this principal has been at the centre of my contributions and involvement, which sometimes it is just the simple act of listening to people and their worries, accompanying someone to the doctor, assisting with the tax form, etc., and shall continue to do so for as long as necessary.
