Channel Insurance Brokers (Jersey) Limited (CIB) is a well-established and respected insurance broker located in Jersey. Originally formed in 2012, CIB is presently one of the leading brokers with a broad portfolio of clients across Jersey, Guernsey, and the UK mainland for companies and private clients.

In 2021, CIB (Jersey) became part of PIB Group. PIB Group (‘PIB’ or the ‘Group’) is a diversified specialist insurance intermediary. Since its formation, the Group has been bringing together businesses with long trading track records (ranging from ten to over 50 years) and established strong brands in their own specialist and niche markets. Tony De Sousa joined CIB in 2016. CIB is part of PIB, a growing group of insurance advisory businesses.
Tony has over 23 years’ experience in insurance and an in depth knowledge of local products and services. As the Group Managing Director of CIB, he leads a team of experienced, knowledgeable and highly qualified brokers who all strive to give clients high quality advice and service on all aspects of General Insurance,delivering bespoke insurance solutions based on individual needs in the Channel Islands.
Tony’s reputation for excellent customer service makes him a popular choice in local insurance.
Stephen Potts

Stephen joined the insurance industry in 2001 and has gone on to gain knowledge in all aspects of Personal Lines and Commercial Insurance. Stephen is particularly experienced in the negotiation and placement of Trust Assets including Commercial and Residential Property, Marine, Aviation and Fine Art & Antiques Insurance.
He began his insurance career at Reed Insurance and moved to CCV Jersey and Vantage before joining PBS Insurance in 2017 which later became CBC Jersey before being acquired by the PIB Group and rebranding to (CIB) Channel Insurance Brokers (Jersey) Limited in December 2021.
Being part of the CIB/PIB Group enables Stephen to have access to a wide range of Insurers and access to the wider PIB Group Support and he is looking forward to promoting the CIB name in Jersey over the coming months.
Stephen is married and has two children; in his spare time he coaches a local youth football team and enjoys watching sports.
Tim Rattray

Tim started in the insurance sector in 1987 in the Isle of Man before moving to London three years later to gain valuable experience within the London Market. He worked for several large Insurance Brokers looking after various FTSE 250 companies in respect of their Commercial Insurance, Professional Indemnity and Directors & Officers Liability.
Tim returned to the Isle of Man in 2005 to open a new office for Rossborough Insurance and spent a further twelve years helping to build up the business whilst concentrating on Professional Indemnity and Directors Liability for the offshore Trust and Fund industries.
He relocated to Jersey in 2017 and worked at two Brokers before joining CIB in July 2022. Whilst specialising in Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability and Commercial Insurance, Tim is also now an expert in Cyber Risks insurance.
