CIB are delighted to announce that Director Gareth Le Page was awarded the Excellence in Education trophy at Friday’s Insurance Institute of Guernsey annual dinner.
The Insurance Institute of Guernsey is a local institute of the Chartered Insurance Institute. The CII is a professional body dedicated to building public trust in the insurance and financial planning profession. It has a qualification structure that members can choose certain modules from in order to obtain professional qualifications, with Fellowship of the Institute being the highest qualification awarded.
The annual dinner recognises the achievements of its members and awards the Excellence in Education trophy, sponsored by Neon Sapphire. The award is given to the member who has made a significant achievement in attaining a professional insurance qualification.
To achieve his Fellowship, Gareth completed a degree in financial services by distance learning, completed a business ethics programme and had to present evidence of meeting his continuing professional development requirements, as well as providing a statement of his personal achievements on his way to Fellowship.
“I was completely surprised to be awarded the trophy, as there were others who had also made significant achievements this year. In an ever-changing industry such as insurance, you can never stop learning, and I am keen to encourage people to continue their professional studies, as well as their continuing professional development once they are qualified.” Gareth Le Page.
Gareth is the third individual to be employed by CIB to win this prestigious award, a fantastic achievement and very much deserved!
