Building brighter futures for our communities together

Channel Island Air Search has won £5000 donated by the Aviva Broker Community Fund.

The funds awarded to CIAS from the Aviva Broker Community Fund have been used to purchase new search planning software to be used on the aircraft, which provides increased functionality and improved radar integration.

CIAS competed with broker sponsored community projects from across the UK to receive funding as part of the Aviva Broker Community Fund 2022.

The nationwide initiative, now in its tenth round of award, called upon brokers to champion a project in their area to be in with a chance of securing funding ranging from £2,500 to £20,000. Brokers across the UK had the chance to win funding for local charities and good causes in their community.

Channel Insurance Brokers is a Channel Island brokerage which supports local CSR initiatives so jumped at the opportunity to be part of the Aviva initiative. CIB Group Managing Director, Tony De Sousa, says “CIB were delighted to be part of this initiative, helping to raise funds for this vital service, that relies entirely on public donations. It is great that Aviva share our enthusiasm for such projects, and we were delighted to work with them to make this happen.”
