Olive\u2019s Journey with CIB<\/strong>
\nWhat originally inspired you to pursue a career in insurance, and how did you come to
\njoin CIB?
\n“My passion for building strong relationships and providing valuable solutions drew me to
\nthe insurance industry. I love the challenge of opening the door for brokers to advise clients
\non the right insurance for their specific business needs. When I met with Tony and Carla,
\ntheir vision for CIB and the company\u2019s focus on growth and client-centred solutions made it
\nclear that this was the right place for me. The opportunity to contribute to a company so
\ndedicated to its clients and community was one I couldn\u2019t pass up.”
\nCan you tell us about a particularly memorable moment or milestone in your career so
\nfar?
\n“One of the most memorable moments in my career so far was when I had the opportunity to
\nintroduce one of our directors, Tim Rattray, to a charity forum. Tim\u2019s expertise and advice
\nwere invaluable, as he managed to save the organisations significant amounts of money. This
\nallowed them to reallocate those funds to other important charitable needs. It was incredibly
\nfulfilling to see how a simple introduction could make such a meaningful difference for those
\nin need.”<\/p>\n

The Value of Local Expertise<\/strong>
\nWhat do you enjoy most about helping clients in the islands?
\n“What I enjoy most about helping clients in the islands is the opportunity to use our in-depth
\nlocal knowledge<\/p>\n

to support them. Our brokers have a level of understanding that\u2019s hard to
\nmatch, and it\u2019s this specialised insight that really sets us apart. We take pride in ensuring that
\nbusinesses and individuals receive the right cover tailored to their specific needs. Being able
\nto offer that local expertise makes a real difference in the service we provide.”

\nindividual circumstances are understood and carefully considered, rather than just a generic,
\none-size-fits-all solution.
\nTheir unique needs are shaped by factors like the local economy, geography, and regulatory
\nenvironment, so having in-depth knowledge of these specifics, combined with a personalised
\napproach, fosters trust and satisfaction.”<\/p>\n

Looking Ahead<\/strong>
\nAs you celebrate over three years with CIB, what are you most looking forward to in the
\nfuture?
\n“As I reflect on my time with CIB, I’m most excited about continuing to grow and evolve
\nwith the company. There are so many opportunities to contribute to innovative projects, build
\nstronger relationships with colleagues, and take on new challenges that push me to develop
\nfurther. I\u2019m especially looking forward to seeing how we adapt to industry changes and
\nadvancements in technology while maintaining our strong client focus.”
\nHow do you see the CIB team growing or evolving to better serve our community?
\n“Since joining the CIB team in December 2021, I\u2019ve witnessed remarkable growth, from just
\nfour team members to eight in a relatively short period. Looking ahead, I see the team
\nevolving by expanding its expertise and strengthening partnerships to better serve our
\ncommunity. With a larger team, we can enhance our outreach, refine our specialisms, and
\nensure we remain responsive to the ever-changing needs of our clients.”<\/p>\n

Do you have any advice for someone considering a career in insurance or joining the<\/strong>
\nCIB team?<\/strong>
